After completing identity verification (KYC), the final step to activate your account is signing the account opening contract. CAEX uses a digital signature issued by FPT-CA, verified with an OTP. This guide covers all five screens of the process.
What is an FPT-CA digital signature?
A digital signature is a legally valid form of signing, equivalent to a handwritten signature on a paper document. FPT-CA is a public certification authority that issues a digital certificate allowing you to sign an electronic contract with CAEX.
In this process, the digital signature is created and used within the app. You do not need to buy a USB token or install any additional software.
Digital Signature Process for Account Opening Agreement
Step 1: After your KYC application has been approved, please log in again to complete the account opening agreement signing process using your digital signature.
Step 2: Read the application and digital signature terms
The first screen is the Application form and terms for registration, using the FPT-CA digital signature. It displays:
• Time remaining: A countdown at the top of the screen. Complete the step before it runs out.
• Customer information: Full name, document number, position, and tax code if applicable. Check that these details are correct for you.
• The terms: Explaining that you agree to let CAEX use your information to register a digital signature with FPT, the validity period of the certificate, and your confirmation that the information is complete and accurate.
Once you have read it, tick the box I have read and agree to the terms and conditions, then tap Confirm.
Step 2: Review and confirm the account contract
The CAEX account opening contract screen shows the full contract, including your personal details and the trading terms. Read through it.
Tick the box confirming you have read, understood, and agreed to the contents of the registration form and this contract, then tap Continue.
Step 3: Verify with an OTP
An FPT OTP Authentication window appears. The OTP is sent to your registered phone number. Enter it in the Enter OTP code field and tap Confirm.
If it does not arrive, tap Resend OTP. You can view the certificate details via View Certificate Information.
Step 4: Signing successful
Once the OTP is valid, the screen shows Signing successful. Tap Continue to move to the final step.
Step 5: Account opening complete
The final screen shows Account opened successfully, confirming that your account details have been sent to your registered email and phone number.
Tap Start trading with CAEX to enter the app, or Back to home.
Your account is ready
Your account is now fully active. The next thing to do is enable two-factor security (Google 2FA or a Passkey) before depositing any assets.
