The simple buy and sell feature lets you swap between VND and crypto assets in a few taps, without placing an order on the order book. It is the fastest, easiest way to get started. This guide covers both the website and the app.
Before you start
• Your account has completed identity verification
• To buy: you have a VND balance (see the guide on depositing VND)
• To sell: you hold crypto assets in your account
How simple buy/sell differs from Spot trading
Simple buy and sell executes immediately at the current market price, which suits beginners. If you want to set a target price or use a candlestick chart, see the guide on Market and Limit orders.
Part 1: Buying crypto assets
On the website
Step 1: Open the buy screen
Sign in to CAEX and open the Buy feature. The screen defaults to a VND amount field.
Step 2: Enter the amount to buy
Enter the VND amount you want to spend, for example 5,000,000 VND. The system shows the estimated amount of the asset you will receive.
You can also switch direction to enter by asset quantity, for example 1.08 ETH, and the system shows the corresponding VND amount.
Step 3: Review and confirm
Continue to the confirmation screen. Check:
• Amount paid: The VND you are spending
• Estimated received: The asset amount you receive
• Rate and fees: The conversion rate and transaction fee
Tap confirm to complete. The asset is credited to your wallet.
Purchase successful
After confirming, the screen shows the transaction was successful and the asset is in your wallet
In the app
Step 1: Open Trade and choose Buy
Go to Trade and select the buy feature. The interface is like the website: enter a VND amount or an asset quantity.
Step 2: Enter the amount and confirm
Enter the amount to buy, review the estimated received amount, rate, and fees, then tap confirm.
Part 2: Selling crypto assets
On the website
Step 1: Open the sell screen
Open the Sell feature. The screen shows an input field for the amount of the asset to sell.
Step 2: Enter the quantity to sell
Enter the amount of the asset to sell, for example 1.08 ETH. The system shows the estimated VND you will receive.
You can switch direction to enter by the VND amount you want to receive.
Step 3: Review and confirm
Check the asset amount sold, the estimated VND received, tax, and fees, then tap confirm. The VND is credited to your wallet.
In the app
Step 1: Open Trade and choose Sell
Go to Trade and select the sell feature. Enter the amount of the asset to sell.
Step 2: Confirm the transaction
Review the estimated VND received, tax, and fees, then tap confirm.
