A crypto withdrawal moves assets from CAEX to another wallet or platform. As with deposits, a blockchain transaction cannot be cancelled or reversed. Choosing the wrong network or address can result in lost assets. This guide helps you withdraw safely the first time.
Three things to know before you withdraw
- Blockchain transactions cannot be undone. A wrong withdrawal means the assets are gone.
- The network on CAEX must match the network of the receiving wallet.
- Some networks require a Memo or Tag; leaving it blank will misplace the assets.
Before you start
- Your account is verified and two-factor security is enabled
- The receiving wallet address is correct and belongs to you
- You know the network of the receiving wallet
- A Memo or Tag if the receiving wallet requires one
Part 1: Three things you must check
1. The network
The same asset can exist on several networks, for example USDT on Ethereum, Tron, and BNB Smart Chain. The network you select on CAEX must match the one the receiving wallet supports.
Choosing the wrong network means lost assets
If you withdraw over a network the receiving wallet does not support, the assets will not arrive and in most cases cannot be recovered. Always check which network the receiving wallet supports before selecting.
2. The receiving address
A wallet address is a long, case-sensitive string. Always copy it or scan the QR code, never type it by hand. After pasting, check the first and last few characters.
The withdrawal address must belong to you
Under compliance rules, the receiving wallet address must belong to an account registered under your name. Withdrawing to someone else's address may be held for review.
3. Memo or Tag
Some networks require an extra Memo or Tag string alongside the address. If the receiving wallet provides a Memo or Tag, you must enter it correctly. Leaving it blank or entering it wrong will prevent the assets from reaching the correct receiving account.
Part 2: Withdrawing on the website
Step 1: Open the withdrawal page
Sign in to CAEX, go to Funding Account, and select Withdraw under the crypto assets section.
Step 2: Select the asset
Under Select Asset, choose the asset to withdraw. The list of supported networks updates based on the selected asset.
Step 3: Select the network
Under Network, choose the network that matches the receiving wallet. This is the most important step.
If you are not certain which network the receiving wallet uses, check it on the receiving wallet first. Do not guess.
Step 4: Enter the receiving address
Under Withdrawal Address, paste or scan the QR code of the receiving wallet address. Remember the address must belong to you.
Step 5: Select the platform associated with the address
Under Platform Associated with the Address, select the platform that corresponds to the receiving address. This is required by compliance rules when assets move between platforms.
If the address is a wallet on another platform, select that platform's name. If it is a self-custody wallet, choose according to the on-screen guidance.
Step 6: Enter the amount
Under Withdrawal Amount, enter the amount to withdraw or tap All to withdraw the entire available balance.
The screen shows the available balance, withdrawal fee, minimum amount, and the amount actually received. Read these carefully.
Step 7: Submit the request and verify
Click Withdraw to submit the request, then complete the required security verification before the withdrawal is submitted for processing.
Part 3: Withdrawing in the app
Step 1: Open the withdrawal screen
Go to Asset, select the asset to withdraw, and tap Withdraw. The information icon opens the FAQ about withdrawals.
Step 2: Select the asset
Under Select Asset, choose the asset to withdraw. The list of supported networks updates based on the selected asset.
Step 3: Select the network and enter the address
Choose the Network that matches the receiving wallet. Enter or scan the QR code of the receiving address.
The receiving address must belong to an account registered under your name.
Step 4: Enter the amount and verify
Enter the amount to withdraw or choose to withdraw all, check the fee and the amount received, then submit the request and complete the security verification.
Send a small test amount on your first withdrawal
On your first withdrawal to a new address, send a small amount first to test the route. Once you confirm it arrived, withdraw the rest.
